- Coming from the north, you get to the Hotel Auren via the Brenner Autobahn. Take the Brixen/Pustertal exit and follow the main road through Pustertal until you reach Bruneck. From there, continue to Ahrntal, where the Hotel Auren is located on the tranquil outskirts of the town of St. Johann, close to the centre of the village.
- If you are travelling from the east, drive via Lienz in East Tyrol, pass the border between Ahrnbach and Winnebach. Then follow the road to Bruneck, taking the turn-off for Ahrntal, which takes you direct to St. Johann.
- Bolzano airport: Bolzano airport is the closest airport to the Hotel Auren in St. Johann im Ahrntal. It is just 90 km from Hotel Auren.

To get here by train, the north/south route proceeds via Innsbruck, Brenner und Bozen. Change at Franzensfeste (Fortezza) and continue your journey to Bruneck or Bruneck Nord. The east/west route proceeds via Lienz, Innichen and Franzensfeste to Bruneck. From Bruneck, you can take the ‘Linien’ bus service to Ahrntal, take a taxi or use the convenient connecting shuttle ‘Südtirol Transfer’.
